This has been a discussion for quite some time with some Philosophers stating that Philosophy is actually a science and some disagree to the fact.

The author of above mentioned book, Prof. Simeon Ogbulafor emphasizes that Science needs Philosophy and Philosophy needs Science. Science and Philosophy deals with speculative science that arrives at knowledge that does not require verification.
